re: OFFICIAL JULY 2013 THREAD (pt. 2)

so this lady is my firned on FB throuhg an epilepsy group right.

she is muslim and speaks broken english so its kinda hard to understand. but she told me like 2 months ago she got pregnant and went to the doctor and they said she should terminate because she had seizures and the baby would probably have seizures, but she said she was in an accident as a teen and that caused her seizures..
she is in NY she said. IM just like shocked that a doctor would say that? idk she said she is so sad she ahd to terminate adn told her NO ONE ever should make a woman terminate if she doesnt want to. makes me sooo sad, she is so sweet. : (


she said she cries whenever she see's pics of my kids and stuff because she wants a baby so bad, and finally got pregnatn and was told to abort it : /

she is in NY so if anyone has any idea of good doctors in there let me know.

My daughters middle name is Raynn

I was thinking Rayne too! Not the most common for a boy, but I like it.

That's crazy that they told her that. She shouldnt have had to abort that baby. I think she would of been fine. I take seizures myself and so far I have had 3 this pregnancy alone cuz my drs r trying to figure out what meds I can take and the dose of them while im prego. I even had 1 seizure while I was prego with my daughter and she is perfectly normal and doesn't have seizures, thank god cuz I had hoped and prayed that she didn't get them.

Was just wondering but what would drs do since im prego and have a cyst on my left ovary? I have never had a cyst before ever and don't know what they could do. My dr is waiting till im 14 weeks and giving me another ultrasound to check it but what happens if its gotten bigger? Will they tell me I have to terminate the pregnancy so they can remove the cyst? Jw about all this cuz it has me FREAKED OUT and scared smurfless!!!!!! Just want ur ladies input about if u ever had a cyst while prego and what ur drs did. Thank u in advance

Haha no. Every pregnancy i have had i have had a cyst on my ovary, and it was there for eqch scan. They never mentioned removing it or anything, it doesnt rreally bother me though. I have had cysts since i was a teenager
  and ever US since then ivehad them...

I meant to add, this is ridiculous! Injury induced epilepsy won't in any way be passed on. DH's brother has very severe epilepsy from a head injury when he was little. I mustve asked my doctor a million questions about it when I was pregnant with DD, and he assured me it couldn't be passed down if it was from injury.

I don't know any dr's in NY, but I sure hope she finds a good one.

Such a cute little bean!!!

Had my first OB appointment today, im 10 weeks 4 days. He tried to listen to the heart beat but couldnt find it. He told me not to worry since its a small chance since im still a little early. He said my uterus felt right on track and everything felt great so he isnt worried, its still in the back of my mind though lol.  
I read online its more common around 12 weeks or so, has anyone else heard it that early?

In 2008 I had ovarian cancer. Right before I found out I was preggo with DD, they found a mass on my remaining ovary... they just said 'we'll watch it & deal with it after you have the baby' so even with a history of cancer, termination was never mentioned!

OMG!!!!!! I would change dr's. My mom got pregnant with me when she was 38 almost 39 and back then tht was un thought of and the drs told her to abort... of course she told them to shove it. This dr sounds like he has no idea what her health background is at all. That grinds my gears!!

I get cyst with my pregnancies as well, it happens when you ovulate and the egg becomes fertilize normally that "cyst" every month goes away with a period but since you didnt have a period that cyst might still stay around a little. they will not harm you or baby.
