I believe she mentioned it being the "last straw" with her current OB. If she doesn't feel like she's getting the care she needs, I don't see a reason not to switch.

It is what it is, but I don't think she's only upset about the current situation is all.

I must have missed that post. I was just baffled as to why everyone was so upset over one issue.

I hope she figures it out soon so she feels comfortable with her choice.

We told her to switch because she mentions frequently how her ob is not very nice or good and this was her last straw  . I would never recommend switching just because of ultrasound stuff but when the BS starts to pile up....yep. I would switch.

Regarding anatomy scans, mine is consider an hour long appointment but usually takes 30-45 minutes. They will not do certain measurements without my bladder full. They will literally do other stuff as they wait for my bladder to be full. Not even kidding.

That totally makes since. If you aren't comfortable, find a place that you are   . I just thought it was all over an US not being done. That's why I said they prob did it at the ER. My bad

Lol I went into mine with a full bladder to the point where when I went to lay back I had serious doubts about holding it in. The tech told me to empty haha.

Damn... I wish. Mine was less than 10. No full bladder. Just a quick thing. They took like 5 pix for us. The double checked the gender, measured the head, the femur and the arm bones. Then they did a quick check on the heart and blood flow and sent me on my way. We are doing a 4D at 28 weeks though because DH is depressed at how short our US have been.

Dang... mine was like, here's the stomach, kidneys, bladder, diaphragm, etc. Counted how many vessels in each of their cords, watched blood flow, measured fluid, estimated their weights. She was fast, though, so it was like flipping through a picture book haha.

Our ultrasound tech we had last week was awesome! She told us everything she was measuring and then even read out the results at the end.

If i wasnt feeling good about my OB...With the U/S [which id like to see] and the care id consider switching as well. its so important to feel cared for. This is your baby   My US last week was an hour long..They checked everything out..she was stubborn [the baby] but i asked questions and everything it was very nice to be able to see everything

I HATE the full bladder thing. I have bladder issues when not pregnant that should probably be medicated. I literally wake up 4-5 times a night to pee when not pregnant so holding in that much fluid kills me! I am just glad she lets me pee once she gets the measurements that require a full bladder.

It certainly is annoying. I think the babies were in a bad spot or something because I was having trouble even walking haha. I was honestly surprised that she let me empty before we started because the ultrasound tech in that office hates me. I only saw her for the dating scan and then the anatomy one, and thankfully won't have to see her again. I'm not sure what she has against me, but my DH sat in that room with us doing the ultrasound and she made sure he knew she was ignoring his presence intentionally.

What a b***h! I might need one more. I had scar tissue in my uterus last pregnancy from my miscarriages and they have to monitor it to make sure baby doesn't play with it and stuff. If baby got stuck in it that body part would stop growing so it is kinda scary.

My OB does all of my other ultrasounds at each appointment so I'll keep getting those, just not with the other woman. From the first time I met her she acted like that towards me so I'm not sure if that's her personality or if I'm just that special.
