Ring slings are great! I would recommend a woven wrap as opposed to a moby. it is a better investment IMO. The moby is not as supportive as baby gets larger (over 18-20 lbs) and you can not safely back carry with it. I couldn't get anything done if I couldn't put E up on my back lol

IDK, I just remember how bad "kick a ginger day" was.... yes there is such a thing. Kids would come to school with the intent of kicking the redheads all day long. after the 2nd year I started skipping school (because my parents wouldn't keep me home). I got it a little easier though since I was a girl. THe poor boys got called all sorts of names that were emasculating and then got beat up.

I'm not saying that is the case these days, but as a mom you worry about those kinds of things. It was hard explaining it to my DH because he thought I would somehow love our son less if he has red hair. I tried so hard to explain I wont love him any more or less, I just dont want my baby to hurt. I still dont know if that makes since outside of my head. *shrugs* oh well.

You sold me on the ring slings. Thanks

Thanks for the info. I have never used a wrap, but it sounds much more comfortable.

How's that going for you? We were thinking of doing that next year for Beau but we are afraid that he'll miss out on the social aspect since all my friends with kids live very far away.

It's official, SO and I found a new place and are moving! I am so excited, finding a place that is in the area we wanted and big enough has been a bit of a challenge.

It's about 10 minutes from where we live now, still in the area we wanted (yay!!) it's 5 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, with a full, finished basement with fire escapes. Still in the same school district, which I love...it's not something that we can really negotiate on, because this school is...yeah.

We kind of know the landlord, which is nice, because he agreed to drop the pet deposit and the security deposit, as well as the first month's rent. I'm so excited. So. Smurfing. Excited.

They have to do some repairs on it from the last tenets, but then we should be able to move in!

I'm so happy for you!!! Send some of that new home luck my way! They pull our credit next month to pre-qual us for a house. We have 3 we already like, so whichever isn't sold by then we will put an offer in on.

Sounds like you got an awesome deal! What a blessing!

This is our first year doing it and it is going really well. My son is enrolled in a virtual academy. It is great because he has a teacher who sets all the lesson plans ( she also lives locally) and there are probably about 20 other kids in his class that "meet up" online 3 times a week for lessons and they chat and do activities together on the computer. they also have field trips every month so the kids can actually meet in person.. Sorry Im going on and on I am just in love with the program we picked for him. Hopefully where you move there will be some neighborhood kids for your son to play with.

Connections Academy. I would 100 % recommend it. Also, Calvert school is what we are putting my DD in next year since Connections doesnt do pre school.
