Yeah they get out end of june and go back first week in september, its always been like that here. Next year she will be in grade 2, so def old enough to ride the bus. Shes been wanting to for years. All her friends do, i guess its the cool thing to do

That's nice. They get out at the end of May and go back the first week of August. It's the cool thing to do? I remember when you had to the bus and it made you seem like a "loser" haha Wow, times sure have changed. well in grade 8 and up im sure it becomes less cool. But at their age they think its fun haha

Grrr...I don't know WHY my full update didn't show up a minute ago!? Weird. Thankfully, I copied it since my computer's been doing funky smurf lately and I didn't want to have to retype it.

Sorry I've been MIA again...I'll be honest, I work too much   Finally (technically) have a day off, so I am pretty darn stoked about that...even if I have spent it thus far on mainly work-related stuff.   

12 weeks as of yesterday!! REALLY stoked about it. If I remember later, I'll do a belly pic....haven't in like a month, since the first bloat was starting. I've got a million and five things to do today though, and "date night" with my kids (every Thursday....since my schedule is so damn nutty with multiple jobs, I've set aside Thursday night that NOTHING ELSE matters. Phone goes off for a couple hours, I make whatever they want...within reason and including a veggie lol...for dinner....it's a good time.)

Got a call from a photographer I used to model for pretty regularly but haven't in awhile, asking if I was available for some work in Feb...I'd pretty much resigned myself to no more til after I got back in shape post-baby, so I explained that I was about 3 months pregnant and totally looked like I'd gained weight (which...I haven't! I figured I had since MS went away so quickly, but...nope. I'm down 6 lbs this trimester.) so I didn't think it was such a great idea, and he asked if I was willing to do a maternity series, at least one shoot a month from here to delivery and than possibly another one with the baby after he/she is born. I'm so stinkin excited. I was planning on calling him (among a few others for pricinng) to see about a maternity shoot late in the pregnancy, but a series? Squeee!!

My Nuchal Translucency Screening is next Weds the 23rd...really looking forward to seeing baby. Not so much looking forward to the blood work, but...yay, baby!

Finally told my Mom about the baby on Saturday. She took it better than expected...not happy, but better than expected. I think it helps that I told her in public   My sister's graduation from her Medical Assisting courses was that day, and we all went to the graduation (naturally!) and then we went to lunch together. Since I rode with her, I asked if we could stop by the store and grab some cold meds since I was still getting over the flu. She said yah, for sure, and than proceeded telling me alllll about this great stuff she used when SHE had the flu, called Alka Seltzer Plus Cold. I had the list of ok meds in my purse that my doctor gave me, but I couldn't very well pull it out and look over it, so I made the objection at first about the taste of Alka Seltzer. She said no no, it doesn't taste like normal alka seltzer. When we get to the store and I'm grabbing the stuff I know for sure I can take, she grabs the Alka Seltzer and hands me a box. I look over it and see a big warning about it containg asprin and not taking it in pregnancy. Sooo..I put it back on the shelf. She jumped my ass for "milking" being sick and "not wanting to get better" since I wouldn't take the medicine she wanted me to...I told her I couldn't take it. She asked why, and I said it was because I am pregnant. She rolled her eyes and threw her head back (you know, the international "oh my god" expression) and goes "Again!? You're getting your tubes tied after this one finally, aren't you!?" Ugh...and so, it begins lol

I'm gonna try to catch up on what I missed, but....well, I was last on 17 pages ago, and I really need to clean out the fridge today.....

Thats awesome about the maternity shoots, would you get them all done for free since she asked you?? That would be sweet!
Why was your mom not happy about it?? I see so many woman on here saying they are scared to tell their parents and i cant understand why... I mean if i was young and not stable then maybe but we are all grown and married, have homes and jobs...Why wouldnt they be happy to have another grandbaby??
And your sister too, grrr i woulda smacked my sister if she did that. She should be happy to be an aunty again...Some people are just weird!

My Mom has wanted me to be done having kids since I had my second. She has special needs and between that and the fact that I had two kids, she didn't think I "needed" anymore - she thinks that anyone having more than two kids is "irresponsible" because of carbon footprints. She's very against big families....which I think is weird as hell since she comes from a big family, and between my Dad and my stepfather who adopted me, and her, I've got a pretty damn huge family myself - I LIKE having 7 siblings, and while I wouldn't have a family that big, I definitely didn't feel like I was "done" after my second child.

As for your comment about my sister, I'm pretty sure you misread my post - all she did was graduate from her program.

Oh you had said you guys all went out for lunch after her grad adn you guys went out and you drove with her, and something about the alka selzter and you said you couldnt take it and she rolled her eyes or something and said i hope your getting your tubes tied after this one...

yay for 12 weeks and seeing the baby soon!! That date night with the kids sounds so great!! I'm sorry about your mom   Hopefully she'll come around, if not it's her loss!!

Free maternity shots and getting paid for them?! That's awesome!! You lucky duck!! I'm sorry about your mom, I'm sure she'll get over it eventually. I just want the 2 myself but each family is different. Yea 7 is way to many but I think 2-4 is fine for certain families. We're all different

I don't either. It's mainly after I eat something that the baby likes, or have a soda. Yes a soda...I only have 1 day if even. I had to cut out my coffee and my Pepsi but 1 won't hurt   Sometimes late at night if I'm awake or just got up to go pee. You know your body better than anyone and the feeling.

Schools start the end of August here. On a Wednesday, in fact. You always know when the first day is because they do a 3-day to 4-day to 5- day week thing so it always starts the Wednesday before Labor Day. One year that meant September 1st!
