See, we did that with our son and now everyone expects us to keep it up. I picked my dad's middle name for Silas for a reason, so I don't want to go thinking super hard on it to find more people I'd be willing to name my kids after, if that makes sense.

Plus, my dad was so surprised and happy to find out Silas had his middle name. I don't really want to dilute that feeling by continuing it with these babies.

I'm so glad I can at least talk to you ladies about names, lol. DH and I decided back with Silas that we weren't telling people we know what names we're thinking of because we don't want opinions haha. So many were upset they didn't know his name until he was born.

We did it for our first daughter, Her middle name is my grammas first name. She passed away last year so im happy she has it, and knew that we had picked it for our daughter. But with our second her name means nothing to us. Not the first or middle. We love it of coarse but it has no meaning behind it.

That's how we want it with these babies. I want my reason to be "because I liked it." Silas' first name we just liked, even though for some reason my dad's side of the family insists that it was a variation of my grandma's maiden name which had absolutely nothing to do with it lol.

I have no idea why people put so much thought into my kid's name. Probably because I'm the only one in the family having any in the last 10 years.

i know how you feel. everybody wanted to name my youngest son for me. im dead set on a name for a girl if this one is a girl which im hoping it is.

We like Jackeline Alessandra for girl and if its a boy Jose Luis like his daddy,,,we are hispanic so thats why the mexican name

those are pretty names. im going for Naomi Abygail for a girl. dont know about boys yet im still banking on my girl so i havent really thought about boy names

Very cute name  

Ladies- I am having such a horrible day. I had a dog, had him 9 years. Since I got pregnant with Ellyanna- back in December 2011- he had behome uncontrolable. He started snapping at me and pooping in the house. Both are dominating behaviors. We tried obedience training (I am a cerified dog trainer) but we went to outside sources & even our vet (to see if the behavior was medically caused). The behavior has not changed & last night he snapped at me when my daughter was standing right there. I took him to the shelter today. I am heartbroken   I know I exhausted all options to keep him & I know I did the right thing to protect my child- but I have volunteered at shelters my whole life & I never thought I would be the one to desert my dog. I can't stop crying.

We are set on a boy's name. We have two girl choices we are set on and just need to solidify which one but I think we have pretty much decided. We don't tell anyone our name choices until birth. Not even my BG ladies. It is too much fun announcing! Haha.

I dont like telling either, but both times we havent picked a name till baby was born. our last baby we never picked till like 5 mins before we left the hospital and the name we picked wasnt even on our list and we hadnt even mentioned it or thought about it. I spend the whole next day sitting in bed reading a baby name book at the hospital...what a waste!

Haha. Yep. I will even mention names I like but never ones that are actually in the running.
