Mine was gone for a week and last night it came back with a vengeance. I've been dealing with a lot of indigestion though and that is not so comfortable.

Mine had gone away for almost two weeks and decided to come back. It's so weird for me because I didn't have it at all with my son so I'm still not used to it lol.

So, we are having a gender reveal party next Thursday night! I'm beyond excited! Though my mother won't attend (and I'm so very not surprised) It has given me something to get my mind off the cords and needles :'( hubs has the day off tomorrow so maybe I can get the house back on shape and ready for company next week. Also, student loans come in this weekend, which means .... WE ARE GETTING A NEW WASHER AND DRYER!!!!! I'm beyond excited. I already have them picked out. Stainless steel steam front loaders by LG! We made the decision on this slightly more pricey set because we are cloth diapering the ret of our children so we see it as an investment.

Honestly, anything that gets my mind off this mess helps! So I guess Im kinda in a good mood.

That is exciting!!!   How many weeks are you? Are you doing the cake thing where you cut and its one color or how are you doing it?

I will be 14.5 weeks at the appointment accprding to my most recent DD.

As for the cake, we are doing white cake with whip cream and either strawberry or blueberry filling depending on the gender.

The names we have are
Liam for a boy
Adaleigh for a girl
 

Speaking of genders, that reminds me... On Saturday we went to my grandma's house to celebrate my uncle's birthday. My dad is the only person we told about the likely genders of the twins, and he decided to tell everyone even though we're not sure. Sure enough, my grandma goes off about how much she wants a great granddaughter.  I got the exact same speech when we found out Silas was a boy. Clearly this woman thinks you push a button to select the gender at conception.

Good luck! That's awesome about the new washer. I wanted to get a new set and a DSLR at tax time, but we've decided we need a new car. Plus we're doing cloth diapers, so my camera money turned into diaper money... But I'm pretty excited about buying those too, so it's all good.

I honestly don't even know why my grandma cares what the genders are. She doesn't get to see my son very often as it is because whenever we go there she makes a point to see how much she can make him cry. Then I get in her face and it's this big issue every single time. Apparently I'm a horrible and overprotective parent because I don't sit and laugh while people poke their fingers in my kid's face to see how much he'll cry. Erg.

WTF? That's awful.   I can't imagine I'd want my kid around my grandma if she was like that. What's her deal?

She just thinks she's being incredibly funny. Her personality is... different lol. It'd be fine if she would lay off when I speak up but she takes that offensively and insists on doing it more to show how "wrong" I am. Then she wonders why I don't ask her to babysit (not that I ever need a babysitter seeing as I'm a SAHM).

When DH and I found out we were having another baby she took it to FB to tell everyone how I should get my tubes tied and DH should get a vasectomy. I have no idea why she thought that was ok to say, or even why she said it seeing as we only have 1 child, are married, and financially stable. I distanced myself from her since then and actually hadn't seen her in over 3 months until Saturday.

Sounds like my FIL...   Ava is scared of him but he doesnt get why.

dont blame you at all. no way in hell would i put my kid through that. my oldest is 7 and i still find it extremely hard to bite my tounge and hang back when kids bully him i want him to figure out how to stand up for himself but its like pulling teeth for me to stay out of it. im sorry you have to deal with that.
