re: OFFICIAL JULY 2013 THREAD (pt. 2)

Am I the only one who hasn't told older siblings yet? I feel kinda guilty for not telling them, but since we're not telling anyone else, either....well, they're 3, 5, and 7...not the best age for secret keeping.

I'm only 10 weeks but am still dealing with MS. I had HG in my last pregnancy, and I'm SO glad it's not THAT bad again...I'd guess by the point you're at though that if it WAS HG, you'd know for sure by now....I was in and out of the hospital from 6-7 weeks on.

Well, we "told" Silas but since he's only 16 months old and has no clue, our secret was safe with him! lol

Also (heh...yeah, I disappear for a few days, but give me a day off and DAMN lol) how many of you had/are having a Nuchal Translucency Scan? When I was pregnant with my oldest, it was never even mentioned to me as something that could be done, but with my second we had one at 11+3 because of bad results on a scan at 9 weeks. When I had my 3rd, I had to all but beg for one (after ALL the problems with my second child, I needed it for peace of mind.) and this time it hasn't been brought up...if my doctor doesn't bring it up at my appt next week, I plan on doing so. I don't want to beg again, but after my daughter's health problems (and holy smurf, there are a lot of them....she wasn't "supposed" to survive past 22 weeks pregnant) I want to have everything I can done to assure that either A)baby is as healthy as he/she can be or B)something's wrong but we're prepared to do everything needed to take as good of care as humanly possible of the problem.

haha that's what I did with my older kids in my other pregnancies...but they didn't talk yet   lmao....now they talk and talk and tell everyone everything and...ugh. I wanna tell them, but I don't wanna tell everyone haha

Elle: We didn't tell DD until we told everyone else for fear she'd spill the beans. We told people at Xmas though so... Now we're talking to her about the baby so she can understand more and more. (She's a little over 3).

I never heard of the scan nor had one.

MS: I'm only 11wks but man... please let it end soon... all day sickness... oi...

Silas does run around saying "baby" but he did that before too so it wasn't weird. Plus everyone knows by now, we had to tell people early because ONE wrong person found out, so it was either spill it ourselves or let them do it for us.

I'm so afraid of that!! My monster in law knows...and she's not the best with secrets.

I had told one good friend who decided she wasn't happy for me, so I knew her next move would be to say something on Facebook since I told her we weren't telling right away. Thankfully it worked out.

I have no clue. I want to say a girl but that is just because my mother really wants a granddaughter and this is her last shot.
