Dehydration?
posted 2nd Dec
I asked a friend of mine who's my age, only she has two girls already. If she'd ever experienced lower pelvic belly pains that felt like her stomach was going to rip open. She said yeah, and that meant I was dehydrated. I was nervous last night I woke up and thought I was going into labor. Anyone else experience this? Is it just dehydration, of course drinking 4-5 bottles of water isn't going to hurt so I'm trying that, but is that all it could be. I've felt so achy and sick the last few days, and one night get this at 8 months, I got up ONCE at 5am to pee. I was so exhausted for no reason. I slept through the terrible full bladder. (Granted I really had to go when I got up) Just a little worried. Baby girl is still very active and at her normal times. So that's good I guess.

if its constant its real contractions. I have heard of dehydration bringing out braxton hicks... but if its really a concern call your doctor or go to the er just to get checked

Thanks I've got an apt, on Tuesday. If it get's worse in the mean time I'll definitely call. It's not real constant except at night, and sometimes throughout the day I call it kidney pains but like back period cramp pains. Real dull, and constant, and sometimes the tylenol will help. Sometimes it'll help for like 5 mins after kicking in. And literally wear off to no avail.

try drinking gatorade instead of water because it has electrolights and laying down on your left side <-- my obgyn told me to do this when i was pregnant because i had constant pains

Funny thing, I can't lay on my left side almost at all. She's dislocated a rib, when I lay on the left side, it gets tingly then real sharp pain. I'll have SO get some Gatorade. I'm just worried cause I don't understand how something that hydrates you has so much sodium. Lol I had some this morning. I'll get some more though.

Because sodium retains water so it helps you keep hydrated. It's weird. Of course you don't wanna do it constantly but for a few days to rehydrate along with water will be fine.

Thanks I felt so much better after downing like 5 bottles of water. Though I have to pee all the time again. I guess I hadn't noticed how rarely I was peeing. I should have caught on sooner. I was getting worried. Thanks though. I'm glad that's all it turned out to be. Now onto asking my doctor about this damn rib! Lol.
