1st Birthday question

My son will be turning 1 year old on Jan 20. His adjusted age will be almost 9mo. I want to make him his own separate cake to play in, do you think it will be ok seeing as he will only really be 9mo developmentally? Or should I wait until his adjusted age is 1 year (which will be on April 30). He eats solids now but just the pureed stuff, no real textures yet. I wonder if i should be worried about him choking?

You should check out baby led weaning. It's skipping the pureed stuff and doing real food. My son started about 10 months which was his adjusted age. I made him a cake with lower sugar and he wasn't too interested in it, poked at it a bit and took a bite or two.

Ive chosen to not do baby led weaning my son has puked choked and gagged everytime trying to self feed...but it works for some babies. Give the baby cake to play in.for pics most likely he wont eat it any way
