So court's still going on and I need help with this...

the Judge ordered a drugs and alcohol test to be done on the father of my child. He has said he has to have a drink to function, he'd wake up and have one and a couple throughout the day then some for if he wakes in the night, everytime my mum had met him he was outside his social club drunk and drinking begging for money for more booze, he was physically violent towards me when he drinks, he's also aggressive and very controlling. He had a collapsed nostril from all the cocaine he's done and lived with a cannabis dealer for He complied to do a hair strand test for both and the court ordered a drugs AND alcohol test to be done from him due to my concerns..

We got the test back and the drugs was clear, however he cut his hair before the test so they couldn't do the alcohol test only the drugs test. The test had to be completed and back by the 21st of November but he didn't even book the test till after that court ordered date, that shows how unreliable he is and the fact he cut his hair proves he's up to something knowing he needed it long for the test.

Has anyone else been in this situation? He's already breeched the order once already now he's only done one part of the court order and i'm not prepared to hand my son over for some raging alcoholic he had previously told me that if he was required to do a alcohol test he'd fail due to the fact he drinks so much every day...

I'm going to refuse contact (i don't drink any alcohol and neither do my family so my child hasn't even smelt it on anyone's breath let alone been alone with someone who's whole family are practically alcoholics) till he's done the test, however can the court make me let him see my child even if i refuse?

I'm worried for my child's safety

If he's not upholding what the courts ordered him to do, I don't see how they would make you give him contact.

Thank you, I told the court last time i was there that he had to do both the test due to my concern and it was ordered for him to do them both and he's only done one and his alcohol consumptions has been one of the major things for me
as I don't drink. He even tried to deny me a residency order when he's not on his birth certificate and has never seen him and said he wasn't his.

I'm not agreeing to any contact to that test is done and tbh that's the end of it for me but my solicitor always bangs on about how if the court has ordered it i have to but will let him get away with blatantly disobeying the order
