My baby stops moving! Scariest thing o_0

So I am 28 weeks and usually every day right when I wake up he's in full kick mode, if I sit a certain way he will kick me and before I go to bed at night, it's full kick-punch Mommy time.. It's been this way since about 23 weeks.
Last night he wasn't kicking at all before I went to bed, but I think nothing of it because he's active all day, but this morning still nothing.
So I'm sitting here scared something is wrong of course. Who wouldn't be. I tried sitting in certain postions, eating, drinking, hot/cold on my belly, poking my belly, rubbing it laying on my left side and concentrating on the baby - all that crud they tell you to try and still nothing.
All of a sudden laying on the couch (stressing out) I feel him move a couple times.
Is it possible he changed position enough that I just can't feel him? My appt is in a few days so I will bring it up then but does anyone else have any experience with something like this happening?

I would have days where I thought my LO was going to kick his way out and then some days where he was lazy and gave me a break from all the kicking. Those days did scare me and worry me. I would try things to get him to move and when he did it was utter relief. My OB and ladies on here that I asked said some babies just have lazy days

My son scared me like that a few times during my pregnancy with him. I would poke, prod, drink something sugary, and I would feel nothing. Freaked me out.
He ended up just being a laid back dude. He was like that after birth and still is a really easy going happy little man. Hopefully you will just have an easy baby like me
My daughter was always boxing me from the inside and she was a feisty, high maintenance baby too. I don't know if everyone has experiences like that, but that is mine.

There isn't any set schedule for a baby to kick. Most days my baby kicks all day and on some days he won't kick at all during the day but becomes super active at night. But I'm the kind of person that won't worry unless I haven't felt a kick for 18 hours.

im the same im 28 weeks and had a very active baby and was really worried when my movements got low, i went to the day unit and they explained i have an anterior? placenta , which covers most of the right side of my uterus, so if babys hiding there i wont feel movements, which had me a nervous wreck, but when ever im nervous i can go the day unit for reassurance xx

That happened to me the day after Thanksgiving. My little guy is super active and I noticed he wasn't moving. We tried everything and he still wouldn't move so we went to the hospital. We literally pulled in the parking lot of emergency and all of the sudden he started going nuts! I got 20 kick counts in like 5 minutes. Little bugger . He probably just changed position, but still try to get 10 kicks if you can.
