Hemorrhoids

Talk about 'roid Rage. LOL

I think I have my first ever external hemorrhoid. I know I have internal ones but I've never had an external one

It hurts so bad. Almost to the point of tears when I sit, or if I work out.

Who do I go see for it? My PCP or gastroenterologist? How can I make it stop hurting?

It honestly feels like I got kicked with a steel toed boot directly to the anus.

I know to up my fiber and water, which I have been doing. I've added more yogurt to my diet. I'll be getting stool softeners tomorrow

I'm not constipated at all. But I do have chrons. Is this part of chrons?

I don't know the answer to any of the other questions, but I know Witch hazel will be a lifesaver!

my husband has chrons and uc and he has both internal and exteranal...he takes a lot of warm baths and his GI doctor told him there was really nothing they could do he just had to wait it out... 

Take a nice warm bath, do this every day. Also, TUCKS pads are a lifesaver and will help to clear it up. I had the worst hemorrhoids and constipation when this pregnancy started, I did this for a few days and things started to clear up. Hope you feel better, I know it's a pain in the ass. ;)

shred a raw potato, put it over the area & put a pad on. I had them horrible while pregnant with #1 & after delivery (tore through my rectum) and my Dr totally said it would work & it did. It is a natural anti-inflammatory. I also made suppositories out of potato by using a drinking straw to shove through it. I know it sounds nuts - believe me I do - but it worked & by the time I decided to give it a go I'd have shoved anything up there to get it to stop. I could NOTHING without serious pain.   It can be absolute misery. For me - 3 days of that & I no longer had any hemorrhoids that I could tell. I also hate to be so TMI - but you need to GENTLY push your external one in if you can. :S It can't heal until it goes in.

I've been having the same problem, I looked up some home remedies, and one said vicks, I tried it and holy crap it's like night and day!

There's a steroids cream you can use that helps so much and tucks...iill try to find it and let you know the name. They suck!!!!!!

What I have is dibucaine ointment 1%.. topical anesthetic. It worked wonders for me. Good luck!!

Really. I know it sounds weird as smurf, but it really worked. It feels really weird at first but the relief is almost instantaneous. The other suggestion was to stick a clove of garlic up your ass....so I decided to try vicks lol.

I'm sitting on shredded potatoe right now. Feels odd but good at the same time.
