My husband thinks I'm crazy.

posted 2nd Dec
We're set to have a repeat c section on Friday. So, we're doing last minute bag packing, organizing, etc.

On top of normal deep cleaning, I want things done like, the vacuum being cleaned out, ceiling fans dusted, the walls wiped down, etc. He thinks I'm nuts.

I can't be the only one out there that wants everything 100% clean and perfect for when I come home with a new baby.

I clean that stuff about every 3-4 months, so if it's been that long, just use that as logic. Cleaner air is better air, for everyone, not just the baby.

I clean it all often too. I've been on bedrest for a month, so I technically am asking him to do it, and he thinks it's a big waste. I don't think he realized how many "smaller" things need to be done, on top of everything else to keep the house running.

I would clean it all lol my dh thinks I'm crazy bc when we moved into our apartments I went through and scrubbed the place even though they hire people to clean, and if we buy new dishes I was them first. I didn't think it was weird but dh and his family think I'm nuts lol

I did that too, with our last move out! I don't want to have to worry about all the little things for a little while after bringing home a newborn, in addition to having a toddler. And getting him to do these little things, when I don't have the excuse of being on bedrest, is nearly impossible.

Yeah we moved a few days ago so I've been cleaning like crazy lol dh won't help because 1.) he doesn't think it's needed and 2.) I have a bad habbit of going back after him since he does a quick wipe down.

you are not over reacting but as the man he most likely never had to do so much cleaning. He probably thinks you are tripping although you are not. Men tend to think in a rule of thumb..If you can walk w/o tripping or stepping over anything , the room is clean.lol. Us females tend to want to be able to "white glove" a house and not find dirt..lol. Just take it a little easy on him.

My husband just dusted all the fans and vacuumed for me a few days ago. You are not alone! I feel like if that kind of stuff doesn't get done now it's definitely not going to get done anytime soon after my c-section.

Yeah, I can't blame her. I have a list and on my list is to organize all drawers/cupboards in the kitchen

Exactly! And I'd rather not drive myself crazy with it all after the section.
