Depends on the size of the baby. I loved my Moby wrap when LO was smaller. Up to 7mo or so but no am having a hard time finding a carrier I like.

A wrap is great for itty bitties, plus to me it helps with my back after carrying a baby. I use an ergo now that she's bigger, and my husband and I can both wear it, he's tiny and I'm not lol.

My oldest was born 10lb 13oz, my youngest was born 9lb 4oz... So we don't make them small. lol.

My son was around 20lbs when I stopped with the Moby. You can get them for good deals used. Like 25$. Other good carriers will be much more than that. I want to try a woven wrap, which is for babies of any size but they are 100+ even used. I don't like buckle carriers like the ergo cuz the straps aren't as comfortable. I like wrap strap MRI tais but they are also expensive.

A woven wrap is great for big babies. A size 7 is really versatile for fluffy mamas   Plus, unlike Mobys and other stretchy wraps, wovens are safe for back carries.

I liked my moby but didn't use it much. My last baby was small though so I couldn't use it until she was 8lb which was about 12 weeks.
I also have a Phil and teds pepe front pack and hated it.
I've heard good things about baby bjorn front packs but they're very expensive!

Why did you have to wait? And I would suggest against the baby Bjorn carriers. The style they are isn't best for a developing spine. A baby should be sitting in a carrier and their legs shouldn't dangle. The carrier should reach their knees. Think about how you want to sit. Would you rather sit on something that will support your bum and thighs or sit on something that will support only your crotch and partial bum?

I didn't even look at baby Bjorne because here they retail for like $400 which is way out of our price range but I know a few people who have them and they all rave about how fantastic they are. But now that you say that yea that doesn't sound too good

Every video I looked at said mobys shouldn't be used for babies smaller than 8lb and my baby was 5lb, even though the website says suitable for prem I couldn't find any instructions on how to carry a small baby.

Oh, I'm sorry about that. I carried my son when he was under that weight. It was such a life saver some nights.
