They don't realize that kids aren't going to not try any drugs because of that, it's just gonna make them think they're all on the same level.

That's why I plan to educate my daughter with the truth. Not stupid, incorrect, scare tactics.

Well what happens is on person tried the pot back when I was a kid and the one person says ... this dose not do anything. And we did not even have the internet back then, ya know. So we just figured it was all lies. I think that "drug education class" was the worse thing ever for my education!


My SO has bipolar and now we know that using some types of drugs can trigger bipolar in some people. So my LO might have it as well and I need to make sure that my LO understands that. As well as understanding that pot and Meth are not the same!

Drug education classes, lol. IOn 5th grade I won a contest for writing an essay about why alcohol and drugs are bad. I used my dads alcoholism as an example. Smurfing people made me read it in front of the whole school. I was already teased for my dads drinking.

Well that aside, guess who got into the rave scene, heavily? I tried many drugs. I was part of the Dancesafe program.... that is a drug program that should be taught.

The only reason I ever smoked cigarettes, weed and drank alcohol was because my parents did it. My dad smokes and drinks...My mom did all 3. They were popular. They was cool and I wanted to be just like them. So I did everything they did, the first chance I got.
I quit smoking weed when I went into the military. I quit smoking cigarettes 2 yrs ago. And my husband and I have drinks on the weekend when the kids are in bed.
I am not drinking now since I am pregnant...I have alcohol free drinks...
We decided to not do things in front of the kids, yet still educate them properly on each thing.
Everybody has a different situation and story... Ya just gotta know what works best for you and your family.
