dialation

I'm 36 weeks, almost 37 on tuesday but i went in to l&d on wednesday for contractions, and they said im not dialated at all. Is it normal to not be dialated at 36 weeks? It makes me a little worried that im not even starting to dialate yet, well as far as i know since wednesday.

Completely normal.. Don't worry about it

I'd say normal, since i'll be 38 weeks Wednesday and haven't dilated at all.

i wasnt dialated until 37 weeks so its normal :/

This is totally normal...you probably shouldnt dilate at 36 weeks. Give it a week or two and you should see some progress. Im not dilated at all as of last tues and Im a few days ahead of you. My next appt is tues so we will see what is going on then.

Dilation....

It's not a bad thing. And dilation doesn't guarantee anything I was dilated to 3 since 36 weeks. And still never progressed past 6.

My doctor said dilation really has nothing to do with anything. Some women go from 0-5cm within hours.

I didn't dilate to anything until 38 weeks (last week) & I'm 2cm 50% effaced. Hopefully more now.
