9 month old feeding problems??? help):
posted 1st Dec
For the past 3-4 days my daughter hasn't wanted any sort of baby food. I've tried and tried but she takes a few bites and is done. With baby meats she'll take only one bite and wont eat again at all. I feel like it could be because she's teething and all that but i'm not sure? I really want her to keep eating, she drinks maybe 2 bottles at night and one during the day and that's all she'll eat/drink. I've tried table food and she'll eat a little more of that but not much. The only thing I can get her to eat are those baby cheese puffs, but those are meant for snacks and I don't want her only eating those. Any suggestions? ):

Nothing, if she doesn't want it.
Solids are not essential at 9 months old.

Thank you! The main reason why I try and get her to eat baby foods more is because her doctor always tells me to try and get her to eat more baby foods. Plus she's only been drinking 3 8oz bottles for the whole day and night. She's already a bit smaller than most babies so I always want her to eat as much as she can.

You may want to start her on more advanced foods if she is refusing the baby food. My daughter loves the Gerber puffs too, and refused baby food at 6.5 months old so I started giving her finger foods. If you want you can actually make homemade baby cookies and baby muffins using fresh produce, plus you can make it in large quantities and freeze what you can't use right away.

My daughter will only feed herself, she dosent like when other people do it for her. Ive just started steaming veggies & putting them in front of her to pick up and she loves it

I would try and let her feed herself with table food. DS stopped eating baby food around that time too but he likes to eat what we are eating. He won't eat all the time and sometimes he eats a lot and sometimes it's just a few bites.

Personally I don't think 24 oz is bad. The max my daughter ever drinks is 25 oz but since I started 3 meals a day of baby food, she is down to 20-21 oz a day. Also, my oldest daughter, now 9, stopped eating baby food at 8 months and started eating table food instead. Yours cold just be over the purred thing which is why she likes the puffs.
