No, I did not. I offered my help numerous times and she was staying with us right before this happened. She used our home like a dorm room and came in and out as she pleased once the guys she met were off of work.
I am not her parent, I have my own family to care for now. There is obviously more to the story than I posted in a small blurb on baby gaga.
So you can take your ignorant opinions elsewhere, unless you would like to take her in?

OMG we must have the same mother... It is so sad that my mother would rather be a homeless drunk with her husband than a mother and grandmother. I have no advice for you and I have no clue why she is like this but it hurts sooo much. The only thing positive she has done in my life is show me what I don't want to become.

She's a sick person. She needs help, but she will only get help when she's ready. Just love her from a distance.

Don't get mad at me for something you didn't do, and my response being made of what you wrote.... I don't think it makes you a bad person or child to say you wish you had a real mother. I get where you are coming from. No one expects to have to take more responsibility than their parent. I'm sorry it is like that.

I just got to my breaking point. You can't help someone that doesn't want to help themselves, and I am just learning this. I couldn't take not hearing from her for months, going on Facebook just to see if she's posting to know that she is alive. At this point in my life I have made my own family and for the first time in my life I know the true meaning of love.

She didn't abandon her, she stopped enabling her and her mother chose an unhealthy lifestyle over her child and grandchild.

I've exhausted my love for her, you can only love someone without being loved in Return for so long. She had me when she was sixteen, she didn't want to be a mother
I just got off of the phone with my grandpa (another person she has used and abused) and he told me he was taking her out to diner tonight he wanted to know if I wanted him to tell her about the baby (I am pregnant). This just surfaced all of my emotions I have locked up the last four months and I just needed to vent.

Oh trust me I have been exactly where you are. I let my mother and her POS husband live with me while I was pregnant. I told them they had to help and could not be drunk around my kids... Doesn't seem unreasonable well that didn't work out I got into a fight with her husband kicked his ass out and she decided to leave with him. They slept in a car for months. I told her she could always stay here just not him. Smh it's so much more to it though. If you ever want to talk pm me. Nobody knows unless they have been through it.

we are in very similar situations. but my mom knows not to even ask to keep my son. she sees him for a few minutes if im picking up my nephew or something.

sadly...my mother really can't go to rehab. she has to raise my sisters kids as well as my youngest sister. she's semi-functional most of the time. when she's not, i've tried getting cps involved. they did nothing. i just help with the kids as much as i can and try to talk to her about it....but i've NEVER had a motherly relationship with her. my dad raised me.

Having my own child has just shown light on how smurfed up she really is. The things she has done to me, put me through. I thought was normal, it was all I knew..Until I became a mother myself.
