That makes me sad

My 6 year old just said I hope I dont have a life like this (meaning mine) because of my 4 year old with autis m screaming over food. I hope that watching what I deal with on a daily basis doesnt make them never want kids.

Aww. I don't think he means it in that way though. I"m sure I said a lot of smurfed up things to my mother, but I was a child and they say the darndest things.

That's the thing with kids, they can be very blunt. I'm sure its just frustrating for them too at times

I am sorry to hear that mama.
Remember, as kids we never want the life of our parents. Don't let it get you down. When your child grows and finds that perfect somebody, they will go from there.
I said the same thing and I am having number 6. 
Just do the best YOU can... That is what will matter when they are an adult. Not so much the hard times but the strength mama had to go through it, head high, strong w/ a smile on her face. That is what we remember the most and the parent we long to be.

Oh she meant it for sure-and really dont blame her, but I really hope that she isnt scarred by watching how much work it is to deal with a kid with special needs.

Absolutely frustrating for both my older ones-and I feel for them, but this is life unfortunately. I really hope this just makes them more compassionate and not anti-children.
