contractions

i get BH really bad a night, but yesterday i was having steady contractions all day about 10 minutes apart, and today they almost went away completely, but they started up again, they are soo painful, i mean i can feel them start in my back, and work thereselves around, and than my pelvic floor, butt, and vag. Is that normal?? they also raise the hair on the back of my neck. they aren't consistant but neither were my contractions with my first...what do you guys think? labor or not jsut BH?

P.S. i am 40 weeks 3 days.

Oh yes, it's very normal. I got those 2 days before I went into real labor. The only difference is when i went into real labor was that they were 1-2 mins apart instead of 4-8 mins. Good luck girly!!!! Your baby is coming soon!
