And my friend used to go "party" with her POS mother all the time and go to bars, which landed her with two kids and fighting with alcoholism at the age of 21. I could never serve a 14/15 year old that is smurf faced as a bartender. That would kill me. lol.

That's ridiculous.

I'll let Lily drink in a responsible setting underage. Drugs.... depends on what it is.

I'd much rather know about it and help her be safe than ignorant to what can happen to you.

I have never had a drink or done any drugs ever and im 22. the worst ive taken is vicadon for a kidney infection. My parents have never talked to me about drugs infact they smoke weed behind my back. they deny it but i know they do. ive been per pressured more than anyone i know cuz they try and see if i will cave in. i have no interest in any of it. i know not everyone is like this but what makes you curious about the stuff? what makes you loose self control??? i guess ive always wondered this cuz i remember growing up, in the seventh grade everyone was "good" always said they would never do drugs,drink or have sex. by the time everyone came back from summer break half the class was doing drugs.

ive never heard of that before. Ive always heard of parents getting into trouble for providing it and the law being no drinking under the age of 21.
either way i wont give consent.

No, i was rushing and posted fast lol, i would hope that they would not have no intrested in drugs, but as far as drinking, i'd let my DS have a beer or two on a special occasion.

i hung out with pot heads all the time...that was 95% of the kids i went to school with and i was never pressured. they would offer but i said no and no one questioned it. i had my first drink at 17..a sip of beer. after that sip i didnt drink again until i was 18 on prom night....then not again for a year or more. i didnt have sex until i was 18. my parents taught me right from wrong..explained why i shouldnt do certain things..i saw what drugs did to 3 family members and i knew i never wanted to live like that. maybe thats what kept me from drugs. i never felt the need to try anything. i also never saw my parents drink until i was 18.

Hell no, there will be absolutely NO drug or alcohol consumption by my minor children, or anyone else's minor children, in my home! Just like I wouldn't have my daughter's boyfriend staying the night so she's not out having sex in a car or some bushes... I won't even entertain the "at least it's a safe environment" theory!  

Not in my house, I don't want to be responsible for that.

Yeah, it "may happen anyway", but I don't want my hands in that dish. No thanks.

Hopefully, my kids can keep drug experimentation where it belongs---in college.

And..my kids won't be who knows where until all hours partying, because the FIRST time that happens, they will be GPS chipped like the dog.

I like this idea although, DH would never agree with it.

We drink and it's part of our family culture. When LO is older she will be allowed to have a little (1-2 oz) wine with weekend dinners when we are together. If friends are over, probably she will not be allowed unless the other parents are here, too and they are OK with their child having it.
As far as drugs go, NO. Hopefully, she will have a good head on her shoulders and not make bad decisions regarding drugs.
