I went to the bathroom and when I wiped this goo feeling thing was on the toilet paper, it wasn't the normal discharge or anything is this what's called mucus plug?

I wouldn't be alarmed you can lose your mucus plug,it will just regenerate.

most likely. I lost mine about a month before my due date with my first pregnancy. I have yet to lose any of it with this pregnancy though

Yes it was your plug probably. It grows back though and labor could be weeks away still.
