When to take your child to the eye doctor?

How do they tell if your baby has bad eye sight?

They will start testing them at their regular doctor and refer them if they need to go.

I had my son's eyes checked when he started asking to go to the eye doctor. He told me he needed glasses. He was 4. I thought he just thought they were cool.... but then I noticed that he was always really close to the TV. I wasn't sure, so I took him in and his eyes were already pretty bad. The doc told me that they would get worse every time he grew.
