Doc Appt

posted 30th Nov
So I had my doc appt today after going to the hospital yesterday morning because of contractions... Unfortunately they dont want to do anything and I just have to wait it out. So im home hurting and contracting... lucky me they slowed down and dont hurt anymore but am i really lucky?? Im kinda ready to go into labor already LOL im 38 weeks... Everyone is like be patient and I understand but I honestly dont do pain very well at all... Ive decided to stop trying to make it happen and just let labor occur on its own but im not happy LOL... Had Sex last night and dammit I almost died!! LOL woke up at 4am with contractions that were anywhere from 2 minutes apart to 6 minutes apart for about 3 hours... then they died down and I slept for like a hour. I thought your Second pregnancy was suppose to go by a little faster smh...

In all honesty, the sooner you relax and stop focusing on it the better your body will be able to progress through early labor. I know it's hard not to try and speed things along, but waiting really is the best option for more than just. The more you stress about going into labor, the harder it's going to be for your body to just open up and let things happen. Look into some relaxation techniques and take it a day at a time. You're almost there!

This last month is going by so slow. I haven't "felt" contractions since 34 weeks, but I'm already 5 cm (close to 6 cm) and 100% effaced.

My second was late! Lol now I'm on number 3 and already having some bad cramping and BH. Baby is gonna come when they're ready but nothing bad with trying to help it along. Does walking help at all?

You're right and im trying to just chill out and just let it happen. But im just so anxious lol Im ready for her to come out now!!! But i do need to relax. My 4 year old DD has been gone so ive been getting a little quiet time and just watching tv and cleaning and making sure things are together... 2 weeks left so im not gonna go crazy.. just gonna relax!

Remember this is time to sit back and pamper yourself now! It'll be a while until you can do it again. Get familiar with your bathtub, ask your SO for a back massage, lay back and listen to some music with a few candles lit...KWIM? I was miserable the last few weeks of my second daughter's pregnancy, but it was little things like soaking in the tub that made it bearable.

Walking makes me instantly start contracting.. and my pelvic area starts hurting so I dont do it to much... my Doc says i should but i really start hurting when I do... I do it in moderation though at least

The only thing about soaking in the tub is I can barely get off the couch so getting off the tub would be hard and DH isnt home at night until about 11 or 12 or sometimes he is out of the city working so he isnt here to help me get out of the tub. And the last thing I need to do is fall

That's frustrating when you're not making any progress. Just take it easy, rest when you can and if you can do some walking go for it! I told my best friend to do laps inside her house so if she needed to sit she could do so quickly! Lol

Haha whatever works!! Just careful with the stairs... Don't need you falling down those. Have you tried different foods? Like spicy stuff?

My OB went from saying I wasn't going to go to term to saying one of his patients was 5 cm for a month. I haven't felt any of the contractions that dilated me from 3 to 5. I told my OB I was nervous about having a home birth or having baby on the way to the hospital. He said he is too. I have to go to L&D whenever I feel ANY pain. This is how it was with my first too. I was 4 cm when I was induced, and didn't feel contractions until halfway through my induction.
