Impacted tooth/Masshealth

Past five days I've had horrible pain in my wisdom tooth, gums, cheeks, etc. I went to the dentist tonight, and she said that I have an impacted wisdom tooth that needs to be taken out, sooner rather than later. However, I am going to an oral surgeon (recommended by the dentist) to do it since the office doesn't do that particular extraction.

I have masshealth, and I know some things require prior authorization. Is this one of them? If so, how do I go about that? I'm looking online and it's confusing the crud out of me   This tooth has me in agony  

i just know i went in to get one of my wisdom teeth looked at, schedule an appointment 2 days after, went in, got it done and was fine and good to go.. however i dont know about going to an oral surgeon because i dont know if they cover putting you to sleep

Yeah I wish I didn't have to go to an oral surgeon :/ But the office I went to doesn't do extractions on the wisdom teeth. I'm in sooo much pain, I just want to figure this crud out :'(
