I feel bad now. I should have not described what I thought I saw, since I am not a photographer, I could have missed things and it was awhile ago now.

All I know is Becca your work is awesome to me!!

That's how it is done.
I know some photographers do not do it the safe way, though.

Thanks! That's neat in the video how they edited it, I can see it takes a lot of work to get it just right. I wonder if she knows the safe way now? I might share this with her.

I know she had the bean bag thing it talks about and all that, she just didn't have one of us hold his head up like it says to do.

Yeah. That was definitely unsafe. I make sure for those shots that the mother or father has a firm hold of the baby before I let go.

That's some great improvement! Great job!

I have a question, for you or anyone else that knows about using a DSLR and becoming familiarized with one, I was looking to take photography classes and photoshop classes at my local CC but they don't offer them, well they do but their program is very limited. I found some programs online that are more extensive and more in depth. Do you think it's worth it to pay for classes, or can you just do your own research and figure things out on your own? Basically, would it be a good investment to pay for the "better" classes?
And what do you think would be a good started camera...I'm looking to start with just a basic camera with a basic lens and just working my way up to more equipment.

TIA for any feedback.

I learned everything that I know on my own by using the internet, and by talking to other photographers. I would eventually like to take some classes though.

It really depends on what you feel comfortable doing hun...though if I had a choice between a limited college course, and a much more in depth online course, I would definitely choose the online course.

I originally started off using a film slr...than when I made the switch to digital slr, I used a Canon Rebel XS. It was a good starter camera for me. I am now using a Canon T3, and am saving to upgrade to Canon 5D.

The photographer that did my sons like that, had my hold the top of his head and cropped it out.
Turned out pretty cool
