Babies and Christmas trees

posted 30th Nov
I just got my tree today and all of sudden I am freaking out about the baby eating pine needles. This son of bitch is huge, 10 feet effing tall lol. But the needles are all over and the vacuum won't get them all.

How did you address this issue with your little one?

We had a real tree when K was a baby and it was a mess. Never agian. I was on my hands and knees picking up needles multiple times a day.

If we ever move to a house with hardwoods or tile where we would put the tree I may get a real one again but for now I wont lol.

Sorry, not much you can do but crawl around and pick them up.

even the fake ones do it. Just not as bad since the needles never die haha

Our fake one has never shed as bad as the real one did. We put it up yesterday and only had to pick up needles after putting the lights on and moving it into place. Havnt seen any since.

Never again would I buy a real tree even though they smell good but they are a huge hassle specially when you have young kids.

We always had a real tree growing up. I could never imagine not having a real one. But this year will definitely test me. Both my parents went with artificial this year and it was so depressing lol.

We buy the real ones that don't shed many needles, and we make sure to keep it hydrated.

We either used one of those big shapeable baby pens to wrap around the tree so the baby couldn't get actually near or under it, or we got a shorter one and put it up on a table out of arms reach

One of the girls I work with gave me her old one, it was a lifesaver!
