Christmahanukwanzaakah?

Anyone celebrate this with their kids or plan to this year?
If so, what traditions do you plan to practice and teach your children?

We start decorating on Dec. 1 and do a gingerbread house at some point. I'm just starting to think of traditions I'd like to start since DD is almost 4 and can understand. I remember when I was a kid my mom would put on Christmas music and set up a couple tables full of ornaments for the tree, and we'd go to a winter festival - that's it though.

we celebrate christmas and chanukkah because my family is half jewish half christian.
we do normal xmas stuff at xmas.
at chanukkah we light the menorah, make blintzes and some other favorite jewish dishes that change depending on the year.
when our baby gets old enough we will give a small gift each day and play dreidel with gilt.

Those are really all Christmas activities. I'm looking for things that include hannukah and Kwanzaa.

Maybe its becasue Im from a smaller town in Texas but Ive never met/heard of anyone actually celebrating Kwanzaa.

What should I be teaching my kids regarding hannukah?
I want them to know what its all about. I bought a menorah, its in shipping. I plan to make traditional dishes with my kids as well as something we can do yearly. I'd like to get a dreidel as well.

gilt are chocolate coins that you can get at walmart or target you use them for betting for dreidel.
i would buy a chanukkah book and read it to them to get the whole meaning of the holiday. its basically all about how they only had enough oil for one day and it lasted for 8 days and nights because of God.
We have several books for jewish holidays and that is how my grandparents always taught us the stories.
also, i forgot about this because i havn't done it since i was young but it was super fun;
with chanukka the family always gets together to celebrate on one special night (traditionally this is when we got a big gift from my parents and grand parents and did a big feast) then after dinner my grand parents would wrap motzo in a cloth napkin and hid it. whoever finds it first gets a prize. (since my brother and i were the only grand children they always hid two pieces and we both got to find one and get a prize) i loved that game. it's just one of the games they play it doesnt have any particular meaning that i know of.

I try to make at least one Jewish food a day at Hannukah and I have apecial glasses I use and we talk about the story and this year will watch the Rugrats special about it. Kwanza I've never done. We.also do an advent calendar.
