If it makes you feel any better, my family was the EXACT same way! I was 16 when I got pregnant with my first daughter.

A week later, things got better. They were supportive. Helped me with everything they could.

And now, over 2 years later, my parents are my absolute best friends. The situation brought us closer together.

You can get gov't assistance as someone else said WIC.
Also your underage, she can't kick you out legally.
My friend got pregnant and her mom was mad and wanted her to abort it.
She told the rest of the family to call her and tell her her pregnancy was a mistake and that there were things she could do about it (that being abortion) and they were trying to convince her like everyday.\
She told me now that her mother is actually glad she's having it.
Oh and they hate the father of the baby, he isn't even allowed to come to any appointments.

Dont get a abortion this is your baby and it deserves to live. There are programs out there to help young moms and I will be more than happy to do research for that information for you. I dont know what state you live in but most of the time a judge will throw the case out with you being 17 and him being 18 you are at the legal age of consent and there is nothing your mom can do about it. You can also get emancipated so your parents cant say anything. If you want me to find information for you I will.

government assistance, section 8 for an apartment, food stamps..it's not the idea situation but you gotta do what you gotta do..no one can tell you to get an abortion..it has to be what you want in order for you not to regret it the rest of your life...where do you live? I'd look into getting a cheap studio or 1 bedroom apartment...a baby won't be taking up that much room...

It's too late to get a abortion! You could look into open adoption. Also it may be hard but with government assistance you can do this. Believe me both of your families will come around once she gets here. You should contact a crisis pregnancy center in your area for some support. Sorry you are having such a hard time. Things will get better

I am not sure about everything else, but WIC will take you as long as your pregnant i believe

sadly she probably doesnt qualify for section 8 unless her rent is more than 600-800 section 8 is super picky but of course like you said there are soooo many other resources!

thank you soo much!!! my cousin offered to take me to the wellfare office if my family does not come around soon. She will help me as well, but thank you so much for the offer!!! You are very sweet!!! I think I just found my new favorite site!!

You know what I am sure your family will come around. They are just in shock and think you going to do what they say. If you show them you going to take responsobility and so is your boyfriend. I bet theyll come around slowly. They will be stupid to loose you that way.
And for the people saying you need family suport to get through this is bs. We come to this world alone and we are going to leave alone. You can do this hun. You and you bf have one another. Stay strong!

Thank you!!! I know I will always have him!! But he is just as upset and lost as I am, and now that our parents are fighting its even more difficult. Its like they are are eating us alive!!!

nope go down to the health dept and take your ID SSC and the 4 most recent paychecks along with your proof of pregnancy youll get WIC then go to DHS find out what you qualify for and apply aslo start looking for an apt!

Your happiness is more important and you cant always do things just to make people happy. You obviously want to keep your baby and nobody cant force you to do something that you dont want.
