Adoption?

We're thinking of adopting in a few years. We know it can sometimes be a long, expensive process.


What are the steps of adoption? Any help would be fantastic.

So has my husband. Even more so now because we have two girls, and he's dying for a boy, but we don't want to conceive any more children.
His uncle was adopted, and DH's Nanny recently talked me into wanting to, lol.

I want one more of each, but pregnancy is really hard on me, I don't know if I can do it 2 more times, and then might not even end up with 1 more of each. There has never been a girl on DH's side, so our chances are slim (DD isn't biologically his)

Did you feel differently about your parents die to them not being your actual birth parents?
I have a major fear of him resenting us because of it.

My oldest is adopted, best thing we ever did. <3
We did an international adoption. I don't know the domestic steps but hope it works out for you!

Not at all. People always asked me that growing up too,
but i was born in Taiwan Sept 11, 1988, and came to the US Dec 25, 1988. (only cos of travel/age laws) so my parents have been my parents since i was 3 months old, annnnd-- i dont know about you but i definitely don't have memories prior to that time   so, it's all i've ever known, just like non-adopted children and their parents
