Two questions about my toddler.

I really don't have a clue what the disease entails, but my daughter may have to be tested for cystic fibrosis. She has had a chronic cough since 2 months old (she is 15, almost 16 months old now) and lots of respiratory issues. She just had a bronchoscopy done and it showed a lot of swelling of her airways and lots of mucus. The reason they want to test her is because she stopped growing. She hasn't grown a centimeter in 3 months and barely grew the last 5 months...she was also just shy of 25 pounds a couple months ago and is now 20 pounds. Does it sound likely that she has CF? I have not a clue what it is and how they will even test her? She has a follow-up appointment in a few days.
Also, she has a hernia right above her belly button. He said right now she will not need surgery unless it starts to bother her. She is constantly poking at it and picking at it the last couple weeks (I noticed it 3 months ago)..it has gotten bigger. The fact she picks at it is most likely because she just noticed it, right? It isn't bothering her any? She doesn't seem like she's in pain while touching it, but sometimes whines.
He tested her lead levels and hemoglobin, are these things linked to either of the things above? I didn't see any reason why her levels needed to be checked, but I trust her pediatrician. I just assumed it was a routine 15 month check-up thing..
Thanks
