We are keeping this one a surprise, since we already have a boy and a girl, I am making him go with me to my ultrasound though, so I don't cave and find out! Why does he think you have to know?

We kep ours a surprise. It was our first, dh really wanted to know but agreed with my wishes he annoyed me tho by refusing to speculate what he thought the baby was.
Our next one I agreed to find out.

My second son was a surprise. It was the greatest moment of my life, no jokes.

Dh had to know as well. He said if I was disappointed with the gender he wanted to get that out of the way before the baby got here. Honestly it is a surprise no matter when you find out. Finding out early just gives you time to pick one name you love for that gender and get gender specific stuff.

See, that's what I want. It's one of the few true surprises in life!

We have a boy so if this is a boy we a covered. If we have a girl I had two friends who have girls and are finished having kids so plenty of hand me downs. Otherwise we need like four things for the baby in general and all are gender neutral. The only thing we would not do it decorate the nursery, which isn't a big deal since we co sleep for several months.
I don't know honestly, I THINK he may be worried he isn going to bond with the baby beforehand not knowing whether it is a boy or girl. While we were TTC I said right away that I wanted to keep the gender a surprise since this is our last baby. He shot it down from the get go, I only caved in because I couldn't help but ask at my ultrasound.

So amazing. I was so certain she was a boy I hadn't even picked out a middle name for her. I can't describe the feeling when we finally found out.

I feel the opposite.. I figure who could experience gender disappoint once you have your new baby in your arms!

My first one was a surprise. Having a baby is an amazing moment either way, we won't keep it a secret with any of the others. My husband much prefers to be able to plan and b completely prepared, not having information he COULD have drives him nuts so I understand completely where your husband is coming from.
