just let him crym he'll get over it...My kids have gone through that stage, I dont know why, maybe because they want to be independent and when they cant do it get super frusterated, my kids still do it from time to time, but are old enough now to tell me, and still get upset about it.

He wants to try things on his own. He's at the age he just wants to try "big boy" things.

Sounds like my son when he's tired.

Doesn't know what he wants and will cry hysterically.

This too! Ds tries to do everything himself. And gets mad and throws fits when he can't.

My son is 21 months I think and that sounds JUST like him. I have to hide all his clothes because he wants to put them on himself but he can't do it on his own yet. It turns into his hysterics. It's even worse because he see's his sister do all these things that he can't do yet.

It's hard. I'd just take a deep breath. Think about how hard it is to be him. He wants to DO IT himself. He can't. That's frustrating! You doing it defeats the purpose of him being able to do it, you know? So he's sort of in a no win situation. Poor kid. As he gets older he'll get better. *hugs*

My son goes around screaming I GOT IT. Whether it be opening the door, taking his clothes off, going to feed the dog, etc.
