Baby Update! [ 39 weeks ]

So I had my 39 week appointment today. & I wanted to just share & spread the news of the update I received & what a perfect time to receive it.. considering it's my birthday today!

But, last week.. at my 38 week appointment on Wednesday.. I had not progressed at all.. no effacement or dilation.. not even a fingertip. & For the last few weeks.. I've been like that.

But, today.. I found out I am 2 cm & 50% effaced.. the doctor could feel the baby's head with her fingertips & I asked her if the mucus plug was gone.. she said yes! A BIG progress since my last check-up! Best birthday present ever! [ Who knows.. if that's because I have been using the EPO or not.. but I think it has had a HUGE impact on my progression. ] Except I am measuring 43 weeks.. but I know that doesn't mean much.. except she might be a big baby.. but never know.. guess we will see when she is ready to come!

Not to mention.. I'm starting to have MORE intense BH contractions.. some painful.. but nothing consistent yet.

& I NEED to get motivated to do more walking & some squats.. to have her head descend more into my pelvis.. since she isn't moving down much.. soo I have LOTS to do with exercise & activity. But.. at least she has dropped.. her head just needs to drop more into my pelvis.. BUT.. at least everything is ALL ready to go for her arrival!  

I am realllyyy hoping to have my little girl in my arms very soon!

YAY!!! congrats on starting to progress. Hopefully it wont be too much longer.

I also had my membranes stripped today too. Which I actually didn't know till after I looked all over online for the procedure she did. I had some pain when she did it. And some bleeding. Never had my membranes stripped... so I have no idea what to expect or even if it works at all.

That is exciting!! My 39 week appointment is on Monday (39 weeks 3 days) I'm praying for more progress! I SHOULD be a 3 by then. & I guarantee you the EPO helped you! I went from 0 at 37 weeks to 2cm 50% effaced by 38 weeks from taking the EPO  

I need to get motivated to do more squats & stuff as well.... I'm just soooo exhausted.

This is so encouraging to read. I've been taking EPO and was wondering if it was doing anything. Fingers crossed! Good luck!
