My labor story!!(w-some pics)

First off I am wore out, sorry if this doesn't have a lot of detail.
My water broke on the 28th at like 7 pm something.....My DH just got home from picking up my mom from the airport and of course seeing her and the excitement we decided to go out for dinner and I had went to get my shoes on. I bent down to pick them up and that's when my water broke.
On our way to the hospital I felt two really strong contractions and I thought that maybe it was going to happen fast since she is my third baby. After about 2/3 I was finally about to walk around on the L&D floor. I was feeling contractions on and off but they were quite regular until I started walking at a faster paste and I refused to be stuck laying in a bed.
At 10 pm my mom and kids went back home so they could get some sleep.
At 11:30 that night they checked me and I was only 4 cm...which was a shocker. I really thought that I would have progressed further. I decided that we needed to get some sleep and told DH to go ahead and get some sleep if he wanted too. I got about 2 maybe 3 hours of dozing on and off. You really can't sleep with the nurses bugging you nonstop. I got up at about 3 am and starting walking the halls again while DH was still sleeping. Right when I was about to get back to my room I felt another bad contraction and from that point on they were coming in waves and before I knew it they were about 2 to 3 mins apart. After the nurses checked everything and then me I was finally at 7 almost 8 cm and this was at 5:30 am.
I thought about getting the epidural because I wasn't sure I could take the pain anymore..but I decided I wanted to get into the tub (I had planned on a water birth) and that did help some. I was at least able to relax a little bit and close my eyes and just breath. I really wasn't thinking about anything I was just trying to control some of the pain.
As the contractions got closer together I for some reason wanted out of the tub and on the bed. The nurses said it is normal to want to move around.
At 7:45 am I was at 9 finally!! It wasn't long after that I started feeling a lot of pressure and they checked me again and told me I was ready to start pushing.
It took me 1 full hour to push her head out. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it and I seriously thought she was stuck.
After that she just came right out at 9:16 am Nov 29th 1012.
I tore really bad and have several stitches. I have no idea how many but it is really bothering me.

she is sooo precious.. congrats and way to hang in there on the natural child birth. that's my plan too.. My 2nd pregnancy was all natural as well, but nearly 12 years later at the age of 39, im just hoping it can go as smoothly.. Did you get a local for the stitches tho? I did on that part bc that just doesnt seem very natural at all.. to wanna feel the needle stitching..

Thank you! Pushing her head out for an hour, that was the worst part of the whole thing.

Yes, they gave me a local before they did the stitches, and they sent me home with some spray...is there anything else I can do to help with that?

congrats! i tore really bad with baby # 2. i took a few pads and got them super wet and let them freeze. then i used them like ice packs. it helped a lot with the swelling and pain.
