first appointment for Abortion.

I have my first appointment at the abortion clinic this week. I will be doing it alone since my husband has to watch the kids.
I know I am doing what is right for myself & our family.
How many days after did you get the abortion done?
Any advice.

Oh okay. Well with my surgical abortion I had it done about 2 weeks after my first appointment. With the pill I had my second appointment a week after my first.

I had one when I was 17. I got it the same day. They called me back several times..first for payment, then for painkillers and instructions on what to do afterwards, then again for the actual procedure.

My consultation was about a week after i called Marie Stopes. The actual abortion was 3 weeks later. I chose the surgical method, i think if I had chosen the medical method I might have been given tablets there and then at the consultation, but i had to wait for an appointment for surgery.

I'm just talking about my most recent one, the first one took longer because I kept putting it off


I had mine done on the NHS, but if you paid to go private you might get it all done more quickly x

You have to go back alone anyways so even if anyone did come with you, they'd have to wait in the lobby. In Ohio, we have to wait at LEAST 24 hours after the 1st appt to schedule the procedure. The pill is illegal here so I had to go to IN to get it and you can only do it that way (a medical abortion) up until the 7th week of pregnancy. I also had a surgical one done last year. My advice is if you're 100% going to do it, pay the extra money to knock you out. It was so much easier and less traumatizing. Good luck!

Not sure where you heard the pill is illegal in Ohio...my best friend just took those pills last week. I also had an abortion in 2010 when I was 12 weeks pregnant so they do them past 7 weeks...it just costs more and you HAVE to be put to sleep.

But, I was 10 weeks at my first clinic visit, I freaked out and left. Went back 2 weeks later and they scheduled it for the next day so I wouldn't be in the second trimester. :/ The earlier the better girl! Good luck.
