Leaking water or something else? TMI

I went to L&D last night with contractions, i was dilated to a 1 they sent me home. I got some sleep but not a ton. I woke up and discovered my underwear were soaked. Idont know if its just like the gel from them checking me, even though i showered i swear they use a gallon of that stuff!, or sweat or my water leaking? My bed isnt wet. I cant tell if it smells because im congested when i wake up.
I am still haveing my contractions same intesity as last night and same distance apart.

I am 40 weeks and 4 days.

Put on a pad, lay down on your side, and if your pad gets soaked then call L & D or your doctor and ask if they want you to come in. And I would out the pad in a ziplock so they can test it for fluid

Squat or cough. If you leak go in and see if that is what's up.

I got in as my DR's first appointment. No leaking of fluid, said its just all that goo they used to check me last night. looked like i had a yeas infection but under the scope nothing so he came to the conclusion that the gel they used must just react weird with my body.

When he checked me today he didnt have to go as far back to find my cervix and for the first time it didnt hurt. I'm still at 1cm but he said that this could very well be the weekend we have baby!

And there was a resident who is a osteopath and he helped with my back pain so much. it was awesome./
