Extreme Weightloss
posted 30th Nov
Hi Everyone, I wanted to see if there were any other women who lost extreme weight in their pregnancies? This is my second pregnancy and i am 15 wks, so far i have lost 20 lbs and my doctor is really nervous. I have to go back in 2 weeks instead of the average monthly visit. Im a little nervous because they are going to do all this extra testing that wasn't done before in my first pregnancy to test keytones? I do have hyperemisis and am on medication for it and i can occasionally eat a good meal, but i am nervous. Anyone else go through this??

A lot of girls do! How much did you weigh before you got pregnat?
There's a few in the April due date thread I'm in that have lost a ton. I'll see if I can link them to this.

I don't think you should be too worried then
Just try eating healthy and keep a log of everything you eat over the course of a few days. It will be very helpful for your doctor!
As long as you're eating healthy its not necessarily a bad or harmful thing to lose weight while pregnant.
If you're not eating a lot try to start eating a yogurt or piece of fruit for breakfast. Maybe some toast with jelly?
And make sure to snack a lot
A lot of little things will make a big difference, give you more energy and make you feel better.

hey, I lost 40 pounds (ouch) while I was pregnant the 1st time with my Naomi. Since I didn't know I was pregnant with her till 15 weeks, and never got prenatal care till then, the Dr never knew I lost that much weight in the 1st trimester because I started gaining the normal 1 pound a week after coming in their office for visits.
