Cows milk at 10 months?

I recently got a nutrition guide by Gerber/Nestle from the doctors office.
On there, it said at nine months you can start introducing cows milk, but I haven't yet.
It said you should slowly do this, so start off with about 2 ounces and gradually go up.

My question is, is 2% okay?
Because we never get whole milk...

I think pediatricians recommend vitamin D

and I didn't personally start cow's milk til my kids were at least 12 months old. I kow similac makes a milk-based mix for older babies who are going to be switching to cow's milk...maybe look into that?

You should preferably wait till 12 months, formula or breast milk is better till then. And, we get our son his own gallon of whole milk and I buy skim milk for myself. My LO is a little guy so I prefer to give him the extra calories in the whole milk.

Get whole milk. I buy two different types of milk so my son can get all of the vitamins and fat from whole milk
We began at ten months, he absolutely hated formula.. So I began swapping an ounce a week and figured he would be completely transitioned by one.. He did fine with it, but he also began drinking sole milk earlier than that, he would grab his dads glass and go to town.

Via my sons pedi, at 10months he was off formula and dtinking whole milk

My son's already tubby! He doesn't need the extra calories

thats what we do.. but a few times i have cut his formula with whole milk just to see, and he is tolerating it, my last daughter was fully swtiched AT 1 year, so i plan on doing the same with this little guy. but he doesnt eat a TON of solids like my daughter was so i will deff keep him on formula for the nutrients.

My LO barely ate any solids till like 13 months. He had a very strong gag reflex (couldn't take a paci because of it). I continued breastfeeding him till 16 months because I wanted to make sure he was getting enough of what he needed.
