Length of cervix

hi everyone, just curious about a couple of things. Did anyone have a scan around 29-30 weeks and get your cervix measured? If yes what was the length? ALso anyone had a scan at this time to find bub is pushing against cervix, like for the whole scan didnt move off the cervix once?? Thanks everyone

Yes I have and it was at 4

thanks for replying, I thought more people would have had this measurement done. Mine was 5cms at 19 weeks and now at 29 weeks 5 days its 2.4cms and bubs head is really pushing on it. I see doc on tuesday at my normal appointment so will ask more about it then.

You're welcome. I had mine done around 22wks because I went in for bleeding but I haven't had it done since. Good luck

Yes I had mine it was at 4 then had it done few weeks later and its at a 3.5 r 3.. now I have to get a scan every month to watch it :0(..but that was at 21 weeks

Thanks for that, im thinking maybe its fine to be 2.4 at this point but also thinking maybe I should be ignoring all the period pain I keep getting with what i put down to BH lol

Wat did ur doctor say? Mine said it was short but in range of where they still feel its ok.they said under 3 is not ok but u r further alrong ..but talk to ur doctor r the nurse and see what they say wit the pain ur haven..cuz I was haven that kind of pain but now I'm in the hospital trying to get them to stop

Hi I see the doctor on tuesday so will discuss it then, the ultrasound i had is actually a volunteer one for the local university, there is a fully trained ultrasound technician who scans you whilst 5-7 students watch on so my doctor doesnt know about any of the cervix changes or anything yet i just have to let him know on tuesday.
Oh wow I hope your ok!! what have they said about your pains? are they monitoring you?

With my second my cervical length was 2cm, 1.5 when bearing down, at either 31 or 32 weeks. She was head down, right on top of my cervix. I just had cervical length done yesterday with this one. I'm almost 26 weeks and my length is 3, 2.5 when bearing down.

I was actually put on strict bed rest yesterday and given steroids to mature the baby's lungs and progesterone suppositories. I went for my normal 30 week appointment. I was 1cm dilated and my cervix was soft. I was sent to the hospital for monitoring and a cervical length ultrasound. Cervix is measuring 1cm or less. Couldn't really tell because the baby kept kicking the wand. She's also breech.
