Pretty boy, have you've tried the normal methods for him to stop jumping? turning away, no eye contact, no attention until he calms down, I don't pay any attention to my dogs until they sit and wait for me to get down by them, it's a working progress but my Rott is learning and my foster (2 weeks here) already got it down

Ahh, dont laugh at me but, I bought a doggy carseat! lol. its actually called a " booster " it looks like basket kind of that you strap to your seat... lol
my mom picked on me, but they actually sell for like 30-70 dollars and up online, and i got mine at this store we have called The Christmas Tree Shop ( open all yr round ) and it cost me 9.99!! I was super excited! ill take a picture and add it shortly =)

Could it be what they call a " hot spot "
my chihuahua chews above her tail and on her leg ALL the time, i took her to the vets and they told me what it was specifically but its basically a hot spot is the term for it.. they vet gave me a spray to spray on it and it works wonders! no more itching which causes the chewing at the spot
and sorry im so late! i didnt get to read everything i missed so if anyone else suggested this, my apologies =)

Just thought id let you know we took the three back to the shelter today and they seem happy. we got 5 adoptions today as well so its been a really good weekend.

Does anybody know if dogs can get sort of like the flu? over the last few weeks three of our dogs have gotten sick. throwing up, not eating the whole bit but i honestly have no clue what is causing it. im just hoping the others don't get it

You know to be honest. I cant say for sure yes, but i am pretty sure they can get a cold and such just like us humans! dont hold me to it cause im not 100% sure. but I have heard that before!

Since I had a few repiles I'm not quoting anyone but...

We've been treating our house and haven't spotted a flea yet. It seems pretty impossible to treat our yard. We live on 4 acres with DH's uncle living on 5 acres right next to us, and we're surrounded by fields. I'm not sure if we could or not.

I thought it may be an allergy too. DH switched him ftom Purina to Iams so it could be that. I'll tell him to switch back and see if it stops. And I've checked for ticks and found none.

My husky would get hot spots and it doesn't look like one. It's just dry and there's a few scabs where he's been chewing so much. Idk

Thank you! And no, I haven't tried that. I think another issue with the jumping is that my fiance' lets him do it when he gets home.. he'll walk through the door and the second Huga jumps up on him he's like, "Oh hey buddy, did you miss me?" and starts playing with him and stuff. I'm telling him he needs to not encourage it because he's getting mixed signals, when he jumps on me I tell him no.. so it's like he doesn't know what's right, but it's so frustrating because my fiance' doesn't see it as that big of a deal.. but I have a five year old sister and she's terrified to walk through my door because my dog's knocked her down before. Ugh.

Purina is one of the worst dog foods, it's got soy and corn and all this stuff dog's can't even digest. I dunno how true it is but I also heard they use some type of cardboard as a filler. When I got my dog he was eating Purina and had the nastiest farts lol (seriously.. our house smelled like dog ass until we switched foods), but we switched him to the Rachel Ray dog food which is all natural and he loves it and no more stinky farts either lol. It upset his stomach when we first switched him, which we kinda expected.. he had an accident the morning after but it wasn't too bad, but he's fine now and loves it.
