re: Dog Lovers Thread !!

posted 14th Feb
Hi! *wave*

Can I join? I'm always asking questions in FFA about our pup and I just now saw this thread!

I'm Krissy. We have a 2 year old smurfzu cross west hylander. He is such a great dog.

We're currently dog sitting for a friend for 6 months. Both 5 years old. A female husky with blue eyes and a male yellow Labrador.

I'll post pictures later (currently on my phone).

Well just thought I would join

I have one question currently that I asked earlier about the husky. She is being very picky. I was wondering what human foods I could feed her without harming her?

heating pad and a old time clock? the ticks always seem to calm dogs down. my dad used to used them whenever we got a new dog

are you looking for snacks to feed the husky or actual meals? I feed my dog raw chicken, my first dog was very picky and refused to eat kibble, and once I found out how awesome it is I'll only feed my dogs raw

you can feed raw meat, or some pet stores have a mix-ins for dog food, I've seen gravy-like stuff, or a tube of meat/veggies I think it's called PetSelect?

Today I realized that all 4 dogs in this house "match'... I color coordinated my dogs
Dachshund is red/mahogany, Rottweiler is black and mahogany, Lab/Pit mix is black with a white spot on chest, and foster Lab mix is black with a few white hairs on her hip/rump area.
I need to take a picture of all of them

Of course you can join! on ONE condition, you must stay and talk and return anytime you wanna talk, have questions or share pictures! =)
haha im totally kidding, but i do hope youll stick around! We had quite a few who first came in and showed pics when the thread first started, but now, only a few of us stay talking.

As far as your question, Most anything you feed him wont truly hurt him. Of course they always say to never feed dogs the things we eat, it can cause the poops and some say chocolate can kill a dog etc etc....
but, my dogs il admit eat just about anything and everything i eat. of course only a tiny bite lol. but ill admite to doing that wrong.
but, some safe foods i do know the vet has told me. are chicken ( boiled ) , white rice, green beans. chicken broth.... and Hmm, i know there were a few more but somehow there slipping my mind.. lol

I know the basics of course that i need, but is there anything over the top/cool/ or that most usually dont buy but you have and think its a must have for a pet?

Sorry I have been MIA. Been busy with cleaning, packing etc.
I came home the other day to find Doyle had a scrape on his nose. My mum thinks I am over-reacting but I ran straight to the shop to get antiseptic lotion for it. Being outside I worry about dirt etc getting in it but it is starting to scab over now so I feel a bit better. I am applying that several times a day and the guy at the pet store said it should heal without going to the vet since it isn't deep or infected. The mumma in me still worries though lol.

adяiyanas mami: Bentley is adorable and oh so tiny.   A laser dot is a must have in my house lol. Doyle is obsessed with chasing it. Also a pee away spray is a must to put on the spots puppy has an accident so he won't go back there. I also found having a seatbelt buckle attachment for the car harness a lot easier to get the dogs in the car then just the normal loop you put the seatbelt through.

Mummy-2-2-Monsters: Welcome.   Beautiful dogs, especially your friends lab. ;) As for food have you tried boiled Chicken? You can get pet mince from the butcher and try mixing in pasta with it. Also add a little stock to it for flavour.

Hey there!
I am a dog lover, i wanna join! lol.

Though my dog (mini dachshund) I have had since I was 14 (currently 22) passed away on January 11th, 2013. She had intestine infection, cainine cushingtons, andddd diabetes. I really do miss her. She was honestly the best dog in the world to me.

So if anyone has questions about the cushingtons, I am more than willing to help out. She had it for a year (undiagonosed until 1 week before her death). Only reason I KNEW she had it was because I am a researching freak.

Heres a picture of the baby :
