Aww,but your doing your part by fostering as well.... so buying a dog is ok! I just felt so bad posting about getting a pup from a breeder, but ive been waiting for this since last september, so im pretty stoked.

very true. its just since i have 4 dogs, my 5th will be the last for a long time, and i really wanted to have a puppy that i personally picked and could get as a puppy ya know.

I totally understand that.  
With Doyle he was 3 months when we got him from an adoption agency. Because he was listed as a pure bred lab I HAD to have him. Second time around I wanted to make sure I got a lab for sure because Doyle was so gentle with the cats, I didn't want to risk getting a rescue that could have a bad with cats breed in it.
My mum is after a dog and we go to the pound nearly every week looking, breaks my heart seeing all of them there but after having owned pure bred labs and then having Diva, who was mixed, I'll NEVER own any other dog but a lab.

I still felt pretty bad, I got my first foster in April/May and we picked up our dog in Sept. but this breeder is amazing and I've been stalking her litters. I was waiting for a beefcake of a male to be bred to a certain female, but when it happened she only had 2 puppies a ale and female, and they were already called for before the breeding happened   so I settled with spectacular litter, I actually picked it out for FIL, he wanted a male but he waited too long and the males were snatched up, there was 2 females left so FIL bought one for us as a graduation gift for SO

I'm a certified dog and cat nutritionist and I highly recommend dogfoodadvisor.com because it will help others to realize how bad the supermarket dog foods really are and what is actually in their dog foods. For instance, many people think Beneful is great because of the constant commercials that depict a great product, but in reality giving a dog Beneful everyday is like a human eating Big Macs seven days a week for their entire life. Better to feed the good food now then to feed the vets bank account later.

Labs are great! So ive been told and with my history of being around them. I would LOVE to have a Chocolate Lab some day =)
I just adore anything in Chocolate.
However with having Chihuahuas I dont think ill have a lab for a long long time lol. There so tiny and having a big dog in the house might not be the best of idea right now, since ill soon have 5 small ones...

Thats how i feel about this breeder im getting mine from. she is amazing! And ive been waiting for this litter for sooo long! thankfuly it was so long that i was able to have first pick of her next 5 litters. well luckily i found my lil guy on the 2nd litter i was on for =)

so anybody have any tips on how to keep a dog at least semi quiet? the puppies we have now are 8 weeks old and we took three of back to the shelter so they could be spayed/neutered and kept the other three to watch them because two of them were at emergency vets last week for getting into pills and the other one has this funky eye thing. well one of the girls is extremely loud, like she will just sit there and cry and bark all night long. we tried crating her in another room with a towel covering it so its completely dark because they are in the bathroom all other times and that helps for awhile but starting at like 4 am the howling starts and she doesn't stop. ive tried everything but a spray bottle with water because we havent been able to get out and get one and nothing is helping.

any suggestions? just a side note that the other two are extremely quiet and don't get worked up by their sister so we can't really do anything that is going to punish all of them like that sonic no bark thing

Hmm, I dont know about that. I just know every single one of my dogs ive got at 8 weeks, cried and wined at night also. Until we would put them in our bed, or else sit with him and give them attention or hold them. I guess they get lonely? So sadly i have no suggestions for you =(
have you tried going in and sitting with her at night? or have you tried putting a stuffed animal in with her? Or else, making a homeade heating pad with warm cooked rice? I was always told things that make them feel like they are with their mom or warm and safe and sound help.. sometimes its just the whole " OMG im without my mom and scared" coming out of them. Thats what ive been told and ive also done research on it when i heard that puppies can go through the whole seperation anxiety

well these guys were pulled from a shelter not to far from here two weeks ago friday and this one just starting doing it the night she returned from pet er. i know its probably the whole holy crap i was away from my siblings for 2 nights thing but one of the other ones we still have was there with her too and she is as quiet as a mouse. the three we took to be spayed/neutered were also loud mouths though but since they were healthy there was no need to keep them here anymore so they went back to the shelter. i just need a good nights sleep for once because ive got back to back tests in school coming up that i really need to do good on

Aww well I wish I had a better suggestion for you =/
Try the stuffed animal or the heating pad. and try sitting with her for a few minutes or putting a radio on in the room their in, I know my Chis when they were babies, i put the radio on and with it being a soft ( not loud ) noise, they felt as if someone was there and they were quiet and slept most the night, only time they got up was when they wanted something, which was usually they had to pee or poop.
