posted 30th Nov
Ok so I'm 36 weeks, 1 Day, and today was my first pelvic exam, and it hurt really bad! what I am wondering is does it hurt that bad everytime or is it just the first time I am dialiated 2cm, but is it normal for it to hurt like that?

Pelvic exams always hurt me. It is horrible. When I go for my yearly they have to use a pediatric speculum. And I've had two babies vaginally. For me it is normal

Normal. I don't know if it hurts for everyone every time they check you but I know when you are in labor and they check holy crap it does not feel good!

I find it to be uncomfortable but i wouldn't say it hurts. just try to relax and not tense up as much and it may help.

I was expecting it to be like a pap I mean I know they are two totally different things, but it didn't hurt at all when I had my pap done at the beginning of my pregnancy, but today it hurt so bad it brought tears to my eyes! :/

It hurts like hell, and I'm usually cramping all day after one. I even started bleeding a little bit today.

I don't think I was tensed up but I might have been I need to make sure I don't cause that might very well be the reason why it did hurt as much as it did.

It didn't bother me afterwards, but it hurt during but as soon as it was over I was fine.
