What a night.

I had the hamster cage in the guest bathroom tonight because I was cleaning the room and I guess DD let it out. She's never done it before without asking to hold it and it's kept on a dresser, out of her reach. I guess she forgot to close the cage door. Anyway, I open MY bathroom door (across the apartment, in my room) and out runs the freakin' hamster! So I'm looking for it and 10 minutes later I hear noises so I go check..

Turns out the hamster found it's way back into the cage and also brought a pencil inside with it. I had no idea where it got the pencil from but I'm glad it's safe and sound!

That was my entertainment for the night lol.

i liked having hamsters as a kid, but i do not miss that awful sound of the wheel at night.

We had mice when I was little. They had tons of babies and my sister and I let them out of the cage once. My mom loved that.

hahaha, awesome. I have a cat, and my mother is not taking my advice and is going to get my son a hamster for his birthda. I am dreading the day he tries to hold it too hard, or wants to hold it and show the cat. I wish my mom would just listen to me and not get him one :/ sigh...

Aw how old is he? Try to keep the cage out of his reach so he can't take it out whenever he wants to lol.

I just got a puppy a couple weeks ago and don't want to imagine what he'd do had he found the hamster.
