It will delete after 10 days I think. Other than that you can go in and delete everything associated with the account change the password and such then deactivate.

I dont know what I did but I deactivated it but it was weird because where it says people you might know I knew some of those people. Will it delete 10 days after deactivation? OMG.

Be careful there are fake websites that copy the facebook page and can contain a virus when you open them. If it's real you could get the password and username and go to account settings and deactivate. you will have to change the password though because when you log into a deactivated facebook it automatically becomes active again.

argh I am so confused I dont know what I am doing about this whole thing. How can I know if its a fake website it looked legit to me. I am thinking someone set it up for me as a joke or something is so weird.

okay so I went in and made everything private changed my password and going to deactivated. Is there anything else I should do before I do that?

nope once the password is changed and they can't gain access then you should be good to deactivate it just don't ever log back in it and it won't exist again.

But as long as you were able to log in and deactivate it you should be fine. I'd change your email password just in case as well
