Like I said earlier.....in Las Vegas August this summer there were 8 kids that died from being left in hot cars. Only 2-3 of the articles say any charges were pressed, the rest say there were no charges filed.

she made a terrible, stupid, irresponsible decision - no doubt.

but what other punishment should she endure? she watched her baby get mauled, eaten and torn apart by wild animals. if you can think of a consequence or punishment worse than witnessing that and then living with it for the rest of her life, let me know.

There was a case like that here in town that a white mother drank and then fell asleep with her baby. She was charged with his death and pled guilty and sentenced to I think probation.

Considering you were the one who asked OP if she had ever caused harm to a child simply because you disagree with her point of view, the fact that you consistently harped about her not having kids, and the fact you called her stupid and told her to get off of her own post, kinda makes me think you're the dramatic one.

As for the OP, I don't think the woman should rot in jail, but she should get something. Even if that something is simply probation, she should get something. Her negligence caused her child's death. She, not the dogs that were acting the way nature intended, but SHE, the mom, caused her son to die. She put him on a rail that was angled to make him fall backwards, and left him there and didn't hold him up. She had to have leaned him pretty far over to make it so that the kid would fall, considering how that rail was built.

No doubt - my point was not that white people are never held accountable for anything, just that it is much.less.frequently & when they are sentenced it tends to be lighter. That isn't my assessment, that's stats.

When you see the interview of others talking about the family, it shows their neighborhood - she was a white affluent older mother who is not likely to be seen as reckless & therefore they tend to judge what she did as less reckless automatically.

Actually her actions cause his death. If I was babysitting a child and I did that I am sure everyone would want my head including the mom/dad. Yes she got a slap on the wrist simply because she was mom.
