When i asked if they used cervadil, she told me not USUALLY, so i might be able to get it. There are other methods, and after everything i've researched i will absolutely refuse cytotec.

First baby:
Tuesday March 23
went in at 6 pm got set up and got an enema and started IV fluids, signed paperwork
started cervadil around 7 pm
labor started around 8 or 8:30 pm

Wednesday March 24
water broke at 2am
contractions started getting stronger
started pit. at 7 am
finished breaking water at 9 am
contractions continued
I delivered at 3:41pm


with my second
I started having contractions at 37 weeks went into hospital was told to go back home because I wasn't progressing
at 38 weeks I called my dr the day before I was suppose to go in and told her my contractions were still happening every 5 mins and weren't subsiding
went in to see her around 11 am
she checked me and I was still a 2 but almost a 3 so she sent me over to the hospital to be monitored
stayed on the monitor for an hour and she said I was being admitted and that she would have to deliver someone else then she would come see me
contractions got harder as I was waiting at this point all I had was IV fluids
she came in and started pit. and broke my water
labored until the next morning and my daughter was born at 2:51am

It was 14 hours from the time my water broke until the time I delivered. I'm not sure exactly what time they started the pitocin...It was maybe 4-5 hours after my water broke, because my contractions weren't strong enough to dilate my cervix. So maybe 10 hours?

Induced both times. DD labor from the time I went into the hospital to when I had her-8hrs. Went in at about 4pm, she was born vaginally 11:55pm. DS went in at 10am, didn't get started til about 12-12:30pm, had him at 6:17pm, vaginally. Got an epi both times, no complications.

This actually really helped calm my fears somewhat. I just hope she's born 12/12/12, the day i'm being induced lol

My labor was 25 hours, contractions 2 minutes apart the entire time, vaginal delivery after about an hour and 15 minutes of pushing. They broke my water when I was... I wanna say 6 or 7 cm dilated after 12 or 13 hours those wonderful 2 minute apart contractions. I was only 1 cm when I went in and barely thinned at all. It wasn't a god awful experience, just tiring and long and I was hungry and thirsty but not allowed to eat or drink anything in case I had to have a c-section. Reeeeeeally hoping I go on my own this time and don't need to be induced. I would end up being the one freak in the family that doesn't go at least a week before their due date. Sigh.

EDIT: They used Pitocin and only Pitocin during my induction.

- 17 hours with pitocin no epi - 1 hour with epi. 18 total
-emergency c-section
-my SO was allowed in the room BUT I didn't get to see my son until he was an hour old.

DO NOT let them bully you. They told me that my breast milk wasn't enough (I was pumping 1/2 oz at the time) and to give him a bottle or they would take him away to the nursery (with an IV in his foot). ALL HE HAD WAS SLIGHT low blood sugar. My LC was so upset they did that over something so stupid. They tested RIGHT after I fed him so of course there was no change! After that he never latched again. ugh. If you can't tell I'm still Pissed about it.

Yeh, i woulda threw a FIT. Moutha smurfs aren't taking my baby from me  

i went into the hospital at 8:00 am they started pitocen at 10:00 am they broke my water at 1:00 pm at 11:30 pm started pushing 12:40 am my DD was born
