Weight loss two years post-baby

posted 29th Nov
I'm 20, I am 5'5, and weigh 205 lbs (give or take 5 lbs)
My son is 2 years 4 months old.
I was 198 lbs when I went into labour, 179 leaving the hospital 2 days later.
I had a cesarian & by the time my 6 week appt came around I was 188 lbs. I got Mirena that day. Afterwards, 6 months or so later I weighed myself again and was 205. Lost 20 lbs over three weeks that year and gained it back within 2 weeks.
I found myself exhausted, irritable and my weight was fluctuating so drastically. Did anyone else / know of anyone who had this issue with Mirena?

I recently had mirena removed and am hoping to start out by changing my diet and slowly get into working out.
My first weight goal is 185 in 2-4 months, I will be lowering my weight goal as I go along...

I lost about 30 lbs after I had Heathen. A year later I got the Mirena. Had it for 2 years and gained about 20 lbs.
I got it out in April and have since lost almost 30lbs.

EVERYONE I know on Mirena gained a butt ton of weight! I can't do any type of hormone BC because I gain like crazy.
It should me a lot easier to lose and keep off now that you have it out! Good luck

It definitely helps to know I'm not the only one
I'm sick of people saying it's baby weight...I was 30 lbs less than I am now the day I had him.
My aunt also gained a lot and had trouble with fluctuating weight.
I am so happy it's gone.

I gained about 30 pounds after having my mirena in for 2 1/2 years. I just had it taken out a couple months ago so we'll see.

Have you changed your diet and excercised to loose the weight, or did it just come off with Mirena ?

One of my friends actually just had her's taken out a week or two ago. She hasn't done smurf and has already lost like 10 lbs, lol.

I had planed to change, but nothing really changed.
I also got pregnant twice since having it out, and lost both babies.

I have heard that there is some complications with fertility and birth the first few years after having it out but I don't want babies for like 8497397493274 years

This could also be postpartum thyroiditis. basically it is when your thyroid gets messed up after having a baby and it dose not usually start until a few months after the baby is born. Mine started when the baby was about 4 months.

I am not a dr so I could be way wrong but that is kinda what it sounds like to me.
