If you've had a miscarriage
posted 29th Nov
When you were pregnant, did you ever get a gut feeling like you were going to lose the baby? Like you knew it was going to happen, you just didn't know when? I've come across a few bg mamas lately that this has happened to and it got me thinking... When I got pregnant but lost my baby in July, a few weeks beforehand I had a dream that I sat on the toilet and I wiped myself and I saw blood and of course I freaked out and then I woke up... Two weeks later, that same exact situation happened... It freaked me the smurf out, b/c the only thing I thought about, was that dream I had. It sucked really bad obviously...

It's something I worried about in all three pregnancies so I don't think having a feeling really counts. But with my miscarriage, I felt different. It's hard to explain, but I guess I felt like it was surreal and no baby would come from it.

Yes i just knew something wasn't right with the pregnancy. I couldnt be excited, no matter how hard i tried.

I had a dream.
In my dream, I was in the ultrasound room, I was so excited to see the baby. When we saw it on the screen, they were long and thing, not human-like. Looked like a fetal pole. I thought "This isn't right". The ultrasound tech was sad, she looked at me and said "You're miscarrying". I refused to believe it and kept looking until I found a heartbeat.
Then I had my first ultrasound.
The baby measured 2 weeks behind, they were a 7 week old fetus. I knew something wasn't right, I should have been 9 weeks. I purposefully waited so I could see a tiny human my first ultrasound. But they had a heartbeat of 160, so I told myself I was just wrong and everything was okay.
They passed away 4 days after that ultrasound. They'd already stopped growing. I didn't know until 3 weeks later.

I found out at 12 weeks the baby had passed at almost 7 weeks and had a feeling since the minute I saw the 2 lines of the test that something was not right...

I have felt like that but I think it is more nervousness and worry on my part than intutition though.
Like now. I am 14 weeks. I still have that feeling. Like I am waiting for the pregnancy to end. NOT because I want it to just because of the fear

No, but I couldn't get excited about it, both times.
This time I just knew it'd stick

With my miscarriage I didn't think I would miscarry, now this one, I've had that feeling since finding out. I literally still check my undies every time o go to the bathroom.

This. My first pregnancy I didn't even think about it. I was young and dumb. But ever pregnancy after I've worried about it so I'm not sure that it really counts.
Though this pregnancy doesn't seem real... which is SUPER worrying...

That's how I felt the last time. I just had a feeling it wouldn't stick. I feel positive this time. I hope I don't get my heartbroken.
ETA: Before I had my second miscarriage, I had a dream that I woke up in a pool of blood. That ended up happening, but I never suspected it.
